Terms and conditions to which you acknowledge consent on acceptance /signature . The Academy offers: 1. CONTRACTS: Our Quarterly contract term offers a 5% discount and is to be paid in full in advance. The Academy terms are: February to April. May to July. August to October. November to January Notice period: two (2) Full calender months, to either cancel Quarterly contract or switch to the monthly contract. The Monthly contract term – paid in advance. Notice period: 1 Full calender month 2. PAYMENTS: Payments are due on or before the first of each month. New swimmers, starting lessons after the first of the month will be billed pro rata. (1 x per week – 4 lessons a month. 2 x a week 8 lessons a month) EFT payments must REFERENCE Your Family code issued on the invoice. Should you be going away during the swimming term, you are still liable to pay your fees. Extra classes will be accommodated where possible. The Academy is to be notified, if for any reason, your payment will be late. Parents not paying their due fees, following notifications may subject their child to being denied access to their lesson. All accounts not paid within 30 days of invoicing will be considered in debt. Unpaid accounts may be handed over for collection. 3. REGISTRATION: A ONCE OFF fee of R130.00 per person. This fee is non-refundable and shall include a normal swimming cap. Braid caps will cost an extra R70.00. Lessons you miss you forfeit. EXTRA lessons to assist your swimmer in your absence may be requested, however they are at the discretion of the Academy. ONLY Lessons cancelled by The Academy are considered as MAKE UP Classes, and will be due to your swimmer/s. Parents not paying their due fees, after notifications, may subject their child being denied access to the pool. In the event of a teacher or coach not being able to teach, a suitable substitute teacher will take over, or make up classes will be offered. 4. NOTICE PERIODS: NOTICE IS NOT ACCEPTED FOR DECEMBER – all swimmers will have Make up classes offered around everyone’s holiday period i.e between 1DEC to 31 Jan. NO VERBAL NOTICE WILL EVER BE ACCEPTED. Notice must be submitted in writing. All legal fees, bank charges due to noncompliance, will be liable by any defaulter. Those wishing to avoid the winter months, take note of our notice periods. Our Budgeting in the winter months re-enforces the necessity of our written notice period. 5. Swimming caps must be worn by all swimmers. 6. The Academy is closed on public holidays. No compensation classes will be due. 7. No parents, guardians, friends, etc are allowed on pool deck, during lessons without permission. This rule is for the safety of all swimmers. There are viewing rooms for those that wish to watch lessons. 8. CCTV cameras are scattered around the open school areas for the safety of all Academy members. Parents may request to review a perceived incident within 2 days. 9. The parent or guardian will be responsible, for their charges while not under the direct supervision of an Aquatic Academy Instructor. 10. Children with contagious diseases will not be allowed to swim. 11. In the event that your swimmer is disruptive or misbehaving, they will be given a warning. If they persist with unruly behavior they will be asked to leave the class. Swimmers may be suspended for rudeness, disrespect, bad behaviour, bullying etc. The parent will be held accountable for the full fees and notice periods as applicable! Indemnity Neither The Aquatic Academy, Liz Humphrey, nor any person in authority representing The Aquatic Academy will be held liable in any manner for damages sustained by any person which may arise in connection with any person present on the premises of The Aquatic Academy, situated at Toermalyn Road number forty five, Croydon. Furthermore The Aquatic Academy will not be held liable for the loss of possessions of any person while on the premises, injury, loss of life, theft or damage as a result of negligence or otherwise.
